Guess who I am?

This is a riddle.
1. 'I putted the stupid prophet on my back. You should meet a good master.'

4. People call Boccaccio's The Decameron as one of the two great pillar in the Renaissance literature. Other one is Cervantes's Don Quixote. If The Divina Commedia by Dante is the closing book to The Middle Ages, then The Decameron and Don Quixote would be the opening books of the Renaissance.
The title mean Ten days. As known from the title, the book is structured by storied said by Seven woman and three men gathering to escape from the Black Death for ten days.
There are one hundred stories in the book, but I will introduce just one of them shortly.

This was a Dioneo's turn so he began his tale.
A year or so ago there was a priest named Dom Gianni who traded using a mare. And he had been close with Pietro doing same work but with an ass. One day, Don Gianni said he knew an enchantment and he could change Pietro’s wife into a mare whenever he wants. Before casting the enchantment, he warned them, they shouldn’t say a word, and prayed God, than the tail may be securely attached. So the wife to stripped herself stark naked, and stood on all fours like a mare. He enchanted touching her head and face:--"Be this a fine head of a mare," and so on…… Last of all, the work being complete save for the tail, he lifted his shirt……
But Pietro exclaimed "No! Dom Gianni, I'll have no tail, I'll have no tail."
By saying that he would have none of the tail, made the enchantment of no effect.

[Game Review] Digging Digging #2 – Philosopher’s stone

In this game, Philosopher’s stone was described of stones having magical powers. And maybe, you are familiar with the first book of Harry Potter and the stone in the anime, Fullmetal Alchemist.

If we examine about that, Philosopher’s stone, it was the stone studied by alchemists. And they believed it could change cheap metal as like copper or mercury, to gold or silver. And another special topic was Elixir of life, it give immortal to who drink it.

Even many scientists studied it; one of them was Isaac Newton. He suffered from some amnesia in his old days, people say; maybe the cause of his disease was mercury which he used to lick. Because, at that time, Alchemists or chemists lick them for identifying. They didn’t know it was hazardous.

But developing of chemistry, human being knew there are elements and they can’t change to other elements. The old belief was to decay. 

But in modern physic, it is possible to change one element to other one by radiation or other nuclear processes. There is a funny story. Rutherford discovered nucleus. And get Nobel Prize. But he got the Nobel Prize in the chemical field. Because at that time, people thought if an element can changes to other, then it would do by a chemical process not a physical.

Anyway Alchemist’s dream, changing copper to gold, is possible in principle. But it would be very expensive and inefficient. Yes, it is not magic but science.

The weather, the most important thing in human's life.

Do you know how wind and rain are generated? Everything starts from the sun. In this game, you can control only the sun. The sun provides almost all the energy to happen something.

 

When the sun rises highly, everything in the earth got energy and the temperature rises. But if even they got same energy, the increases of temperature are different because specific heats of them are different. Specific heat decides when those get energy, how much the temperature increases. In this game, a land is on the side of left, a sea is on the side of right. Water has the high specific heat, so the sun increases the temperature of the land more rapidly than that of the sea. Therefore air on the land rises. As you know, hot air is lighter than cold one’s. But when they reached the high altitude, the temperature decreases because air can barely absorb energy from the visible lay or other high frequency lays. Those cool down and spread and descend to on the sea side, relatively the low temperature area. This air stream makes winds from sea to land. And air has water vapor. When water vapor rises and cools down it is condensed and change to tiny water drops. This are clouds. And if they are heavy then it will fall, this is rain.

After the sun sets, the situation is reversed. The temperature on the land falls faster than the sea. The air on the land descends. Winds blow from the land to the sea.

In the game, the air rises at the mountain. If there are no specific geographical features as like the mountains, it is hard to spot out where air rises. So the weather forecast uses to be wrong sometimes, even though we use supercomputer to expect it exactly.
